WASTE OF MONEY
The estimated cost of the advert is about €120,000,
plus costs to designers and spin doctors. Is it not a
scandal that this money has been wasted when there are
people lying on trolleys in Dublin hospitals? How much
more of our money are they willing to waste before they
admit that routing the M3 toll-road through the
Tara-Skryne valley was wrong? The advert makes points
that the protesters have no objection to. We all know a
new road is needed. In fact, a new bypass should be
already in place around Dunshaughlin by now. It was
approved in 1999. Politicians are trying to blame road
deaths on the protesters, when their own mismanagement
for many years is the real culprit. This road will
disturb the bones of our ancestors. It is equivalent to
putting it through the graveyard of your local
church.
