Historical sites must be
preserved
Having read your article on the proposed ruining - let's
face it, that is what it is - of the Ring of Tara, and
roughly gauging the opinion of the Irish people on this
subject, I couldn't help but think that Daily Ireland
would benefit enormously by giving the campaign its full
backing.
As you will know, many Irish people North and South feel
very strongly about our historical sites and how they
should be preserved.
I have long since had my fill of the so-called Irish
government and can sympathise 100 per cent with those
campaigning against this development. It is my opinion
that, if Daily Ireland backed this campaign and
especially if it was to be a success, not only would you
increase the paper's circulation tenfold and more, you
would also gain the respect the paper deserves and from a
far wider audience than at present.
Daily Ireland is an Irish newspaper and I feel that
issues don't get any more Irish than this one.
