Battle of Tara not over
Dear sir - It seems a bit premature in an election year
to say that any issue is dead because of one court
case.
It is up to the people of Ireland to decided whether the
Tara/Skryne valley and Meath's reputation as the Home of
the High Kings is worth preserving.
I have no objection to millions of dollars being spent to
upgrade Meath's road and rail systems. In fact
alternatives that would save Meath road users thousands
on yearly tolls while getting them home as quick have
been suggested.
To this end, we have started a resource web site to be
used in the Save Tara campaign to get the M3 moved from
its current route so near to the Hill of Tara.
Our start up campaign will be "TARA 5000 Years 1
Election".
While 70 per cent of the population believes that the M3
should be moved away from the historic Tara/Skryne valley
our politicians appear to have forgotten we live in a
democracy. We'd like to send them a timely reminder.
The Battle of Tara is in the hands of the voters. To
donate your vote to the Tara cause and make it an
election issue, please go to

Yours,
Pauline Bleach,
