Display of parochialism
Dear sir - I was saddened to read Mr. John Donohoe's
sneering account of the Save Tara March in last week's
Meath Chronicle. This was a childish display of parochial
pique and your newspaper is the less for having published
it.
Is Mr. Donohoe suggesting that only those who live within
a certain limit have the right to object to a particular
piece of legislation? If that is the case, where does
that criteria place objectors to such issues as global
warming, the Iraq war or famine in Africa?
Shame on you, Mr. Donohoe.
Yours,
Susan Brennan,
Cardiffstown,
Kilmessan.
