Tara and the M3
motorway
A chara, - God bless Minister for the Environment John
Gormley for his enlightened intervention in stopping
further damage to Rath Lugh on the proposed M3 motorway.
The current members of the Dáil would not like it
if in 100 years time their tombs were violated by a
digger to accommodate traffic that could take an
alternative route.
This ancient fort built on an esker of sand and gravel is
named for Cuchulain's father and may be the graveyard of
the Fianna. Nothing good could come from the further
desecration of such a sacred place.
