Prejudice, not facts
(2)
I was very disappointed to read Dr. Mark Dooley's article
on Tara.
He is often very sound on solid conservative issues such
as gender, the family, abortion and opposition to the
"Lisbon Treaty" and has to be praised.
However, in this Tara article he made use of the "Sir"
Richard Rich (after the notorious Sir Richard Rich of
Thomas more trial infamy) technique of linking extremists
with moderate, sane opponents of a project. I believe
there are conservative opponents of the Tara project, and
it has attracted opposition all over the world, not
necessarily from rent-a-cause.
There are, I understand, quite cogent arguments for an
easy and inexpensive re-routing.
Zero points to Dr. Dooley for his intemperate attack on
Tara.
