Green Party has sold itself
out
IT IS truly amazing to read in Declan Kenny's letter
("NRA needs to fix its mistakes", Letters, March 22nd.)
that "Green" Minister John Gormley was "advised" by his
minions not to visit the Tara site at Rath Lugh.
Were they concerned, perhaps, that a massive wave of
conscience might overwhelm him? Surely, in the history of
coalition government, no party has so blatantly,
shamelessly and completely sold itself to Fianna
Fáil for a seat in government as have the Greens.
What John Gormley is afraid of confronting at Rath Lugh
is the truth of what's being planned for the site -
turning blind eyes being a Fianna Fáil
tradition.
The bravery of Lisa Feeney - of whom all young women in
this country should be proud - contrasts starkly with
Gormley's timidity. If we lose Rath Lugh, or any part of
Tara, that will be the Green Party's legacy.
