At least Sinnott has
answers
I HAVE received many emails from Kathy Sinnott. I am on
her "keep informed on Tara/M3" Case.
On reading the report "MEP Sinnott attacks 'abusive' TV
quizzing in expenses probe" (Irish Independent, July
2nd.) I thought I'd check the timing on the emails.
A lot are sent after 6pm, many are sent after 9pm.
Kathy Sinnott answers questions directly, unlike our TDs
whose standard incorrect reply is that this motorway was
built on the best archaeological advice. And then they
ignore your rebuttal.
This stance stands up even less now that a project
archaeologist has revealed that the NRA changed the
archaeological findings on the M3 route before presenting
them to the Government.
Kathy Sinnott has either explained legislation or quite
often posed questions to Mr. Dimas.
She has facilitated the Meath archaeological groups in
meeting with the Commission and when you could get no
straight answers on Lisbon, she at least gave an honest
answer on the legal position of many of the strange
statements contained in the treaty, whether this agreed
with her stance or not.
Kathy Sinnott is out there representing ordinary people
of Ireland in the maze that is the EU.
And perhaps she should be taking a cut of my
commissioner's salary, whoever he or she is.
